you can see the sheets of rain shuffling their way down the lake, you can smell the wet bark swept down the shorelines with the breeze, the lake begins to ripple a white mist, as if directing you where to travel, and the tree tops on the mountain sides begin to scrape against each other, stirring anything beneath them. as if a composition of perfect progression, the encompassing shadowless flashing lights prepare you for the storm’s actual presence; the unleashing rumbling and ground splitting thunder.
up here in the sticks, the storms have this ability to really put you in your place; a place of little meaning, control or consequence.

Hey Andrew, hope all is well at the cabin. I’m wondering if you have experienced any meteor showers or pretty skies from the sun. I often remember you running to get that perfect shot. I hope you are at peace up there and the fire pit keeps you warm at night. Oh right, you can’t have fires. That sucks, I remember. I’ve always enjoyed my time up there so I wanted to say thank you. Wish you would have made IT to the wedding. It was so beautiful. If you want to see some pics go to eringilmorephotography.com under martA and Jason. Take care of yourself.
hey suava, thanks for checking in :) i saw the meteor showers from the cabin on a couple clear nights. they were pretty damn incredible. the camera couldn’t catch enough light for the shooting stars to show up in my photo though. i still run for perfect shots. haha.
